Domed City-Project Ark Illustration

After environmental devastation and plants and animals have become extinct, human survivors live within five world domes“Welcome to Los Angeles. Outside Temperature: 130 Degrees Farenheit. Dome Temperature: 96 Degrees Fahrenheit. Capacity: Full”

Have you ever thought about what might happen if the direst predictions concerning the environment were true?

  • What happens if the Earth's surface does warm 5 degrees Celcius by the end of the century?
  • What would the landscape look like if most of the vegetation dies off?
  • What would be the effect on the planet if the oceans become too toxic to support life?
  • And perhaps, most important, what can we do about it?

These questions are not as far-fetched as they may seem.

The Earth's ecosystem is very finely tuned and a 5-degree temperature variant would cause major disruptions to all parts of the ecosystem thereby making the planet unrecognizable to anyone alive today.

Other factors such as habitat loss, over development and pollution would only enhance the damaging effects from warmer temperatures and would create an even faster default mode to disaster.

Project Ark is a high-action story that takes place nearly a century into the future.  It is based on hard science possibilities of a worst-case environmental catastrophe and uses similar hard science principles to try to restore the planet back to health.

People are forced to live inside protective domes placed sporadically around the world as scientists initiate a massive geo-engineering project in hopes of restoring the atmosphere back to health.

The action becomes even more intense when the project doesn't go as planned, forcing people from opposing scientific, governmental and faith spheres to join forces and work together to achieve their common objective.

It is a story we hope will never play out in real life.  But hoping does not make things so.  We must start making plans now to prevent such a catastrophe so that we can assure our children and grandchildren that a Plan B such as described in the book will never be needed.

Project Ark is an example of why we must prevent a worst case scenario from ever happening and insuring the long-term viability of a living, thriving planet Earth.
